"EK VOEL SOOS Ñ AASVOËL"

Dis skuins na 12 uur Sondagnag, nog maar die 8 ste van die maand en ek sit in sak en as - want hoe kies 'n mens tussen kos vir jou kinders en petrol vir die werk. Vader weet, ek is moedeloos ... maar daar is darem seker mense wat swaarder kry as ek ... die wat nie eers 'n dak oor hul koppe of 'n kombers het nie ... Dankie Here ek het darem 'n werk, 'n dak oor my kop, 'n kar en kos. Waar sal my hulp vandaan kom? Ek gaan probeer om my storie te vertel met die hoop om vir ons wat so gou oordeel en neerkyk op mense twee keer te laat dink. Ná jare se mishandeling wat ek en my kinders deurgemaak het, het my jongste so ses jaar gelede by haar onderwyseres gaan kla en is hulle pa verwyder deur die kinderbeskermings-eenheid. Nodeloos om te sê wag ons steeds vir enige aksie wat teen hom geneem moet word. Verstaan asb. ek wil nie soos 'n slagoffer klink nie. Inteendeel, ek het my kop opgetel en alleen vir my kinders gesorg, vir ses moeilike jare, want sien, ek is geseën met 'n engeltjie van die Here af. My dogter Sammy is verstandelik gestrem, was al twee keer op 'n ventilator, is 'n diabeet en is aan suurstof gekoppel. My jongste skryf vanjaar matriek. Ek het verskeie kere probeer om van my man te skei, maar het nie die geld nie en ek gaan nou probeer om dit self te doen. Mense wat my sou help met die skeisaak het die aftog geblaas omdat my man die heeltyd weier om enige onderhoud te betaal en daarop aandring dat die kinders by hom moet gaan bly. Ons het wel een keer in die hof geëindig maar die saak is van die rol geskrap want die regter het vir my man gesê hy moet regshulp kry en ook dat die hoflêer weg is. Ek werk by Tshwane se stadsraad en verdien nie veel nie. Ek huur by die stadsraad 'n huis teen R 2 300 per maand. Dan moet ek 'n vrou wat na my gestremde kind omsien, elke maand R1 200 betaal en die water en ligte is 'n verdere R 1000. Ek het Sammy self opgelei en ook na die hospitaal gevat en die susters het haar touwys gemaak oor basiese versorging. As gevolg van 'n klont in haar long moes sy 'n gaaitjie in die keel kry. Ek het al oral geld geleen om net deur te kom per maand en ek skuld die mikro-leningsmense ook 'n klomp geld. My salaris is net nie genoeg vir alles nie. By die manager aangekom is sy besig met iemand by wie hulle goedere aankoop, ek dink in my kop hierdie vrou is besig en nou gaan ek haar pla...mevrou begin ek toe in engels want ek kan sien hulle is portugees en ek weet hulle praat gemakliker engels. Ek knik my kop.My oë ontmoet my dogter sin en ek en sy sê dankie sonder woorde. Die donasie het 'n bedrag van R60.00 beloop en ek sal dit gaan betaal sodra ek kan.. Dit sit nie in almal se broek om te bedel nie.... Op die oomblik gaan dit baie moeilik met ons mense..as ek kon sou ek almal help.
